Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently chairing the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of the year 2023.
The Vice President took charge of the first NEC for the year following the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari who had on Monday travelled to Nouakchott, Mauritania, to participate in the programme of the Third Forum of the African Conference for Peace.
The President is expected back in the country today.
The New Diplomat reports that several ministers and their ministers of state are physically present at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In attendance are the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan; and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Dr Adeola Ipaye.
