- Georgia’s Ballots To Be Recounted
Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, on Friday said there will be a recount there no matter what the outcome is because the margin is so tight, the Daily Mail of UK reported on Friday.
There are still 5,500 votes outstanding in Georgia and 8,000 mail-ins. Of the five million that have already been counted, Trump and Biden are neck-and-neck with 49.4 per cent of the vote each. Biden has a lead of just 1,500 votes.
Whatever happens now, it will be too close a race for there not to be an automatic recount, Brad Raffensperger said at a press conference.
It does not delay the election result if Biden wins Pennsylvania, which he is poised for after taking the lead from Trump. That result is expected by the end of the day. He can also still win before a Georgia recount if he wins Nevada and Arizona, where he also holds leads.
“As of 10am, there were a little under 5,500 votes to be counted. There are 8.890 military ballots outstanding that will be counted if they are returned by the close of business today.
“Right now Georgia remains too close to call. We’ll have a margin of a few thousand.
The focus of our office for now remains on making sure that every legal vote is counted accurately. We can begin to look towards our next steps.
“With a margin that small, there will be a recount in Georgia,” he said.
Georgia carries 16 electoral college votes. If Biden claims it along with any other state, he will win the Presidency.
Trump would have to win every state left on the field to get a second term and Biden is leading everywhere, except in North Carolina.
Biden took a crucial lead in Pennsylvania on Friday morning. If he wins the state, he will have won the White House.
But Trump is refusing to accept the results, claiming election fraud all-round.

- Biden Galloping Away
Former U.S. Vice-president Joe Biden has widen his lead over President Donald Trump after winning Michigan, inching closer to the 270 Electoral Colleges votes needed to clinch the White House.
Michigan is one of the pivotal battleground states that Trump won in 2016. It is now back to blue.
Biden defeated Trump, 49.8% to 48.6% with 97% of the vote counted, for Michigan’s 16 electoral votes in a race projected by the Associated Press.
The win in Michigan took Biden to 264 Electoral College votes, six shy of a victory less than a day after polls closed on Election Day.
The New Diplomat reported late Wednesday that Wisconsin has been called for Biden, narrowing Trump’s path to victory.
Meanwhile, Trump’s lawyers have launched legal bids to stop further counting of votes in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Trump may lose the latter when all the mail-in ballots are counted.
To alter Biden’s path to victory, Trump must now win Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada. However, he’s currently trailing Biden in Nevada.
- Biden Wins Wisconsin, What Trump, Biden Now Need To Hit 270 Votes
The United States presidential election is still on the knife edge as President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden battled for several familiar battleground states that could prove crucial in determining who wins the White House.
As of the time of this reporting, Biden is leading with 248 electoral college votes, while Trump has ganered 214, according to Associated Press (AP) count.
Biden just won Wisconsin, having 10 electoral votes, according to AP call, even though Trump is contesting the results.
But Biden appears to be extending that lead, howbeit narrowly, as he’s currently leading in Nevada (6 electoral votes), Michigan (16 electoral votes), two states that will put his college votes tally at exactly 270 votes enough to win the presidency. From the results, he now needs 22 votes to hit the required number.
Should Biden win the two states, it thus mean a win for Trump in Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes), Georgia (16) and North Carolina (15) may come to nought –the Republicans are currently leading in all the three states.
For Trump, the simplest way for him to find the 56 electoral votes he needs would be to win Pennsylvania and at least three other states to get to 270 votes.
It was unclear when or how quickly a winner could be determined, explaining the much uncertainty surrounding the election even as Trump has alleged electoral fraud in the vote counting process, threatening to seek a redress at the US Supreme Court.
Trump campaign manager, Bill Stepien said the president would formally request a Wisconsin recount, citing “irregularities in several Wisconsin counties.” The state allows for an apparent losing candidate to request a recount if the margin is less than 1%.
Hundreds of thousands of votes were still to be counted in Pennsylvania.
Neither candidate has cleared the 270 electoral College votes needed to win the White House, and the margins were tight in several other battleground states.
The New Diplomat’s checks reveal that over 160 million votes were cast in the US presidential election 2020, a turnout rate of about 67 per cent, which is higher than the country has witnessed in more than a century.
Donald Trump won: Texas, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Louisiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas.
Joe Biden won: Minnesota, Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, New Hampshire, Colorado, the District of Columbia, New Mexico, New York, Virginia, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware and Connecticut.
Joe Biden wins Maine (4 electoral votes)
As AP calls Joe Biden wins in Maine (4 electoral votes), he is now leading with 238-2013.

Breaking! We’re Heading To Supreme Court, Says Trump
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said his party will be heading to the Supreme Court to challenge the results of the 2020 Election.
At a White House briefing, he accused his Democratic Party challenger Joe Biden of electoral fraud.
Trump said despite the expiration of voting time, voters were still casting their ballots in many polling centres in the US.
In the build-up to the election, Trump has been raising concerns about electoral fraud, especially on the mail-in ballots as oppositions continue to dismiss his allegations.
Now, Trump is leaving nothing to chance, meaning winner in the election would remain unclear for weeks/months if Trump challenges the Tuesday’s presidential election.
Trump told reporters: “This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country. We were getting ready to win this election.
“Frankly, we did win this election. We did win this election. So our goal now is to ensure the integrity for the good of this nation. This is a very big moment. This is a major fraud in our nation.
“We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we’ll be going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop.
“We don’t want them to find any ballots at four o’clock in the morning and add them to the list. Okay? It’s a very sad moment. To me this is a very sad moment and we will win this. And as far as I’m concerned, we already have won it.”
AP Calls Arizona For Joe Biden
Joe Biden has become only the second president since 1948 to snatch a long-time Republic stronghold as Associated Press calls Arizona (11 electoral votes) for Democratic challenger who is now leading with 236-213.

Elections outcome in the US still look blurry as results continue to trickle in. Outcome can even be delayed in states with massive mail-in ballots.
According to the Associated Press count from the outcome called so far, Joe Biden who profited from the early results projected now has 223 electoral votes while Trump is leveling up, having garnered 212 electoral votes.
The first candidate to hit 270 electoral votes out of 538 available wins the US presidency, regardless of the popular votes.
While President Trump is projected to win the battleground state of Ohio and is leading the vote count in Florida, his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden, has the lead in Michigan and Arizona — a state Trump won in 2016.
Trump won in Texas (38 electoral votes), Biden clears California (55 college votes)
Still, any hopes for an early outcome in the bitterly contested presidential election were dashed as several key states appeared too close to call.
In some, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, many votes — including an unprecedented number of mail-in ballots — were still being counted.
Meanwhile, Biden has now won in states like Oregon (7 electoral votes), California (55 electoral votes), and New Hampshire (4 electoral votes), Washington (12 electoral votes); Vermont.
Trump won in North Dakota (3 electoral votes); South Dakota (3 electoral votes); Wyoming (3 electoral votes); Louisiana (8 electoral votes); Nebraska (5 electoral votes); Indiana (11 electoral votes) Missouri (10 electoral votes) and Kansas among others
While the Democratic candidate has won Virginia, the incumbent Trump retained West Virginia.
