A Delta Central-based leadership group, The Forum of Urhobo Leaders of Thought has passed an implicit vote of confidence on two illustrious Urhobo sons, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor OON, a foremost APC leader in the state and Engr. Dr. Samuel Adjogbe, fnse, the Acting Executive Director of Projects, NDDC, for their immense contributions to the growth and development of the Urhobo nation and the country in general.
The Forum which held its quarterly general meeting in Warri recently resolved that the two illustrious sons of Urhobo have offered themselves to serve the Urhobo nation selflessly and have contributed in no small measure to the progress of the Urhobo people.
The confidence vote which was contained in the Forum’s resolutions arising from the general meeting and signed by the National Secretary, Alh. Mumakai Unagha Aru, stated that “the two Urhobo sons have made the Urhobo nation proud in their various areas of endeavours.
“Olorogun Emerhor has influenced the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to appointing Urhobo sons and daughters in strategic positions in the present day APC-led administration. He is a boardroom guru with inestimable value. We have not forgotten when he rose to the occasion to donate a whopping N101 million to the building of Urhobo House in Uvwiamuge about ten years ago.”
Also giving reasons why the Forum has passed a vote of confidence on Engr. Dr. Samuel Adjogbe, the acting Executive Director of Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Unagha said  “the young man  has impacted very positively on the lives of the Niger Deltans and equally transformed the social economics lives of the area through the various developmental projects embarked upon by the commission.
“All the communities in the Niger Delta are currently linked up with accessible roads, water, schools, electricity, etc.
“With the Executive Director of Project’s determination of making huge impact, we are confident that in the nearest future the complaint of the people will be a thing of the past.”
The Forum called on the Urhobo, Deltans and indeed, the entire Niger Delta, to support the Commission and provide it with a peaceful environment to implement its policies and programmes.
“We therefore call on all sundry to give the commission a peaceful environment to implement the policy of the commission so as to deliver the goal of democracy and President Muhammadu’s Buhari agenda for the Niger Delta people”, the Forum resolved, adding that “We as the Urhobo Leaders of Thoughts hereby pass this implicit vote of confidence on these worthy Urhobo sons.”
