The Gift of Hindsight: What I Would Tell My Younger Self, By Johnson Babalola

By Johnson Babalola @jbdlaw Hindsight, they say, is life’s most generous teacher—but it sends its lessons late. It is only after the storms that the patterns become clear; only after the wrong turns that the map begins to make sense. As I celebrate another birthday today and have grown older, I often find myself reflecting…

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ably led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi, CON, on behalf of the National Caretaker Committee, the Board of Trustees (BoT), the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Caucus, Management and Staff, and the entire PDP family nationwide, warmly rejoices with Nigerians at this Christmas time.

On this joyous Yuletide, we urge our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria to absorb the Timeless Teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ by demonstrating forgiveness and love to our neighbors, and to turn away from the differences that splits us as a people which is in line with the Angelic Message of the Lord’s Birth, “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord….Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (King James Version, Luke 2 v10-11&14).

In this context, we believe that the current economic situation in the Country is undeniably precarious for Nigerians, and not only the Christians during this celebrations; it’s therefore pertinent to encourage one another as a means of soothing negative impact of the recession and deprivation in our society.

Let us pray for our leaders especially at these extreme times to rekindle our weakly economy and support further development of our dear Nation, Nigeria. We urge the APC led administration to concentrate more on issues that will unite us as a people rather than working to alienate and divide the Country along ethnic, religious, and party lines.

To this end, we acknowledge the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, congratulate all Nigerians, and the Christian community in particular on the 2016 25th of December celebrations. May the Exemplary Life of Jesus Christ, His Grace, Great Sermons, and the Love of God remain efficacious in all His believers’ hearts and life, Amen!

God bless Peoples Democratic Party and the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Jesus Is Indeed The Reason For The Season!! Again, Congratulations and Merry Christmas!!!
