The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, has been sacked by the governing council of the institution.

Mr Ogundipe was removed at the council’s meeting held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the National Universities Commission (NUC) in Abuja

The university governing council and the management had been at logger heads for some time and this lead to the sudden cancellation of its 2020 convocation in March
