Mr Uduak Akpan attempted to flee the State High Court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Thursday, minutes after he was sentenced to death for raping and murdering a female job seeker, Ms. Iniubong Umoren.

 

 

Justice Bassey Nkanang in his judgement, said the prosecution has proved beyond doubt the case of rape and murder against Mr Akpan.

 

Justice Nkanang in his ruling convicted the serial rapist to death by hanging.

On hearing the Judgement, the convicted serial rapist attempted to escape from the courtroom, but was overpowered by security personnel.

The judge said the prosecution has proved beyond doubt the case of rape and murder against Mr Akpan.
