Chelsea duo Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante are both fit to play in the Champions League Final showdown against Manchester City in Porto.

Both players returned to training at Cobham on Wednesday before the Blues flew to Portugal in preparation for Saturday night’s all-English clash at the Estadio do Dragao.

And neither Mendy nor Kante has since experienced any further setbacks, with manager Thomas Tuchel reporting a clean bill of health for Chelsea on the eve of the final with one last stadium training session to come.

“No injuries and I hope it stays like this until after the training today – Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante are fit,” the German said at his pre-final press conference on Friday evening.

Concerns over first-choice goalkeeper Mendy’s fitness for Porto arose on the final day of the Premier League season, when he suffered a rib issue after colliding with the post during the first half of Chelsea’s defeat by Aston Villa and was replaced by deputy Kepa Arrizabalaga at the interval.
