Chelsea Manager, Thomas Tuchel has expressed his anger as he disclosed reasons for substituting  Hudson-Odoi having brought him on at half-time.

Tuchel speaking immediately after the match in an interview with pressmen disclosed that he wasn’t excited about his zeal and his attitude on pressing.

In his words: “I was not happy with the energy, and the attitude on counter-pressing.”

“We decided to take him off again because we demand a lot.”

The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw away to struggling Saints in the Premier League on Saturday.

A blunt showing from the visitors saw Mason Mount rescue a point from the penalty spot after Takumi Minamino had opened the scoring with Southampton’s only attack of the first half.

Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard then hit the woodwork in the 71st minute with a header on another rare home attack.

The result leaves Chelsea in fourth place, a point ahead of West Ham, who play on Sunday, and three points clear of Liverpool who host Everton later on Saturday.

Southampton are 13th after earning their first point in seven games.
