President of the United States, Donald Trump, has again made headlines after announcing that he has decided against deporting the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, from the US.

Trump’s announcement came after previous speculations and legal challenges surrounding Prince Harry’s visa status.

Trump who addressed the press explicitly stated his disinterest in pursuing such actions against the Duke of Sussex.

The New Diplomat reports that Harry’s immigration status in the US came under scrutiny following admissions in his memoir “Spare,” im past to use of recreational drug use.

Under US immigration law, such admissions can lead to visa ineligibility.

Following his admission, a conservative think tank, The Heritage Foundation, took issues with this, arguing that Harry might have been dishonest on his visa application or received preferential treatment during the Biden administration.

They initiated legal action to access Harry’s visa records, which led to debates over privacy versus public interest.

However, Trump, in an interview with The New York Post stated: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

It would be recalled also that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have long been vocal critics of Trump.

Meghan Markle referred to him as “divisive” and “misogynistic” in previous public statements, while Trump has regularly ridiculed Harry, claiming that the prince is “whipped” by Meghan.
