Donald Trump on Wednesday defeated Vice President of the United States of America (USA), Kamala Harris to clinch the presidential seat of the country, making a huge political comeback four years after losing his re-election bid to the incumbent US President Joe Biden.

With the campaign and election behind him, The New Diplomat in this report, evaluates possible individuals that might make Trump’s cabinet as his attention turns to putting together a cabinet.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Although, Kennedy mounted his own bid for the presidential seat as an independent, he later suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump. Kennedy, an anti-vaccine activist, is expected to land a prominent position in the new administration.

Elon Musk

Elon Musk, a billionaire businessman and investor was one of Trump’s biggest supporters during the campaign. He was said to have contributed more than $118 million to a Trump-backing political action committee as well used his social media platform X to campaign for him. It is projected that Trump is expected to reciprocate the favor by giving Musk a role in his cabinet.

Stephen Miller

Stephen Miller was a senior adviser to Donald Trump during his first term in office.
Known for his anti-immigration views, Miller served as senior advisor to Trump during his first term and is credited with shaping Trump’s immigration policies, which included separating migrant children from their families and a ban on travel from predominantly Muslim countries. Trump has vowed to mobilize mass deportations during his second term. Miller, who campaigned for Trump, is being speculated as a likely face that will play a role in the Trump’s Cabinet.

Vivek Ramaswamy

Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur who has never held public office, sought the GOP nomination for president but backed Trump after suspending his campaign in January. It is not yet clear what role he might play but he is a likely face in the Trump government.

Michael Flynn

A retired Army lgeneral, Flynn was an early staunch supporter of Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign and served as Trump’s national security adviser during his first term. Flynn later pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials in late 2016. Trump pardoned Flynn in the final weeks of his first term. Flynn is among the most vocal allies of Trump. Together with other allies, he has been advocating for prosecution against those he considered as Trump’s political enemies.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump

The president-elect’s eldest daughter and son-in-law were among his closest advisers during his first term. As things stand,?it is not clear what role they might possibly play. But analysts believe that Trump might assign either Krushner or Ivanka a role in his government. They both joined Trump on stage during the later’s victory celebration in West Palm Beach, Florida, early Wednesday morning.
