The administration of United States President Donald Trump is reportedly set to unveil a program offering unaccompanied migrant teenagers $2,500 to voluntarily leave the United States.

Reports emerging on Sunday revealed that the reported initiative is targeted at teens aged 14 and older , who are currently in federal custody.

According to reports, the program aims to streamline deportations while emphasizing “reintegration support” back in their respective home countries.

According to an internal memo from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement, the stipend is a one-time “resettlement support” payment for eligible unaccompanied children who opt to return home voluntarily.

The New Diplomat reports that the development comes amid Trump’s renewed push to curb illegal immigration, building on earlier efforts that have seen millions of unauthorized migrants either removed or encouraged to depart.

Recall that Trump’s second-term agenda has prioritized mass deportations and self-deportation incentives since January 2025.

In May, he signed an executive order launching the nation’s first formal self-deportation program.

According to reports, an estimated 400,000 formal removals have been completed by federal agents.
