The feud between United States President Donald Trump and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has once again escalated on Tuesday.

This is as Trump took to his Truth Social platform to attack the government subsidies supporting Musk’s companies.

The US President accused Musk of relying on “more subsidies than any human being in history.”

Trump said: “Elon may get more subsidies than any human being in history, by far.

“And without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.

“No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a fortune. “.

“Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!”

Trump’s comment followed Musk’s renewed criticism of the spending legislation, dubbed the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which has sparked a public rift between the former allies.

Musk had intensified his opposition to the bill, which is under consideration in the Senate and projected to increase the national debt by up to $5 trillion.

Musk, who stepped down as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in May, called the legislation “utterly insane and destructive” and a “disgusting abomination” that promotes “debt slavery.”
