Tributes have begun to pour in for Ibidun Ighodalo, a former beauty queen and wife of senior pastor of Trinity House Church, Lagos, who died at the age of 39.

The former Miss Lux died in the early hours of June 14 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Fans, colleagues and acquaintances have taken to social media platforms, especially Twitter, to  bid farewell to the late beauty queen as news of her death spread.

While some penned heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family others enumerated how the event planner impacted their lives.

“Ibidun Ighodalo was such an adorable woman, an inspiration! It’s really difficult hearing this, May her soul Rest In Peace and May God grant her family the strength to bear this loss,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Heaven just gained an angel, thank you for inspiring so many women. RIP Ibidun Ighodalo,” another user wrote.

“Ah IBIDUN Ighodalo Rest In Peace! Your external beauty was only a tiny fraction of the beauty of your heart,” OAP Daddy Freeze wrote. Here are some tributes for the late Ibidun Ighodalo:

Another sympathizer wrote: ” I didn’t know Ibudun Ighodalo on a personal space but I knew about her infertility journey and how she had 11 failed IVFs. It would be recalled that the ex-beauty queen died in Port Harcourt following reports of sudden undisclosed complications. In a formal announcement,  her family  urged the public to show understanding during this difficult times.

A statement by the families signed by Asue Ighodalo did not state the cause of the “sudden loss.” According to Asue Ighodalo, “The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter Mrs. Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo who passed away in the early hours of today.”

“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some  privacy during this time. All information of  burial proceedings will be provided in due course,”  the statement added.
