Dr. Terkula Suswam, the older brother of former governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam, has been assassinated.

Terkula was murdered alongside his aide by unknown gunmen late Tuesday in Anyiin town, Logo local government area of Benue state.

According to a report by the Guardian, the gunmen were believed to be loyal to the notorious militia kingpin, Terwase Akwaza alias Gana, who was killed by the military last year.

He was reportedly assassinated alongside his aide in a building directly opposite his private residence in the town.

The killers who were said to have arrived in a Toyota Corolla reportedly opened fire on both men and ensured they were dead before they speed off.

As of the time of this reporting, no arrests have been made over the alleged murder.
