Chief Austin Uloho, former Third Deputy President General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) and high-ranking Ughelli Kingdom chief, has died at age 73.

Chief Uloho, who held the prestigious title of Osio R’Igho, reportedly passed away Thursday morning, according to sources close to the family who confirmed his demise

The prominent businessman and major Delta State APC chieftain was renowned across Ughelli and the entire Urhobo community for his forthrightness and vast knowledge of Ughelli traditions and culture.

At 73 years old, Chief Uloho lived a lifetime of leadership and service. His death constitutes a major loss not just for his native Ughelli but the Urhobo nation as a whole.
