In a determined move to attract further global businesses including investment and trade to Nigeria positively, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Thailand, His Excellency, Ambassador Oma Djebah recently hosted the President of Amazie World Business Group, Dr Parameewath Wistananant and the company’s multinational Director, Arrington Simichai, at the Embassy of Nigeria, Bangkok.
The high-level meeting focused on building sustainable investment and trade partnership frameworks between Thai and Nigerian-owned businesses.
Ambassador Djebah and the top business executives at the meeting explored numerous ways of match-making Thailand’s most successful business chains in key sectors with their Nigerian counterparts.
Following the deliberations, an upcoming Business Summit is in the pipeline to further deepen business relations between Nigeria and Thailand as Amazie World and other Thai investors have expressed their renewed interest in opening their gateway for Africans to leverage on investment opportunities in the Southeast Asian country to acquire quality products and services, while bolstering Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Nigeria.
Also, in attendance at the meeting was Mrs. Francisca Jomomoh, Minister-Counsellor (Economic) at the Embassy of Nigeria, Bangkok who captured the highlights of the deliberations.
Ambassador Djebah, who recently met with Executive members of Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) in Thailand and the overall best Ph.D graduate in Thailand, Nigeria’s Auwal Abubakar, has since hit the ground running since June when he resumed his ambassasorial duties in the Kingdom of Thailand, a popular tourist destination, known for its tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples with booming business opportunities across key economic sectors of interest for Nigeria.
