Towards boosting the tourism potentials of the State, Lagos State government through the ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is set to host a Street Party for Lagosians on December 3rd and 4th of this year.

According to the Acting Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Adebimpe Akinsola, who disclosed this recently at a press briefing, the Street party is necessary for Lagosians and all friends of Lagos from around the world. They are  to come and experience the best of hospitality and entertainment” .

Akinsola disclosed that the new concept street party will be held on the street of Lagos like a moving party.

Explaining that the gesture was part of  was part of Governor Ambode’s plans to use project THESE (Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment and Sports) for excellence to grow the state’s economy; Akinsola said, Lagosians will see a huge influx of people coming to Lagos to partake in the event.

She further explained that the party is in line with previous events organised by the ministry in the past. “Lagos through the ministry of sports organised the Lagos Marathon last year December, we organised the One Lagos Fiesta in Ikeja, Badagary, Ikorodu, Lagos and Epe local governments which is otherwise called IBILE. We have organised and we would continue to organise and support events that will use ‘THESE’ to contribute to the economy of the State.”

“The party will be an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the best of Lagos Artists like Olamide, Phyno, among others. The best of ‘local dishes’ will also be available at the street party. Foremost Mama Put joint, Whitehouse will be there to serve tasty street food”.

“The train of Lagos Street Party will move along the stretch of Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island Lagos through the Lagos Bar Beach” Akinsola disclosed.
