President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has designated chairmen and members to serve on the governing councils of several federal universities and tertiary institutions nationwide.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday.

In the statement, the President directed the recently appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities with utmost effectiveness.

“The President expects that the new members of the governing boards of these institutions will perform their functions effectively and creditably and within the ambits of their statutory responsibilities,” the statement reads in part.
