One of the national leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria ten days after jetting out to the United Kingdom (UK).

The two-time governor of Lagos arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday evening.

Recall that Tinubu, a presidential hopeful travelled out of the country, amid reports that he was away for medical reasons.

It was rumoured that the APC chieftain jetted out of the country to undergo a routine checkup on his operated knee. Last year, Tinubu’s right knee was operated on with treatment and physiotherapy lasting up to three months.

Meanwhile, Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman dismissed the rumours, saying his principal was engaging in meetings and consultations on his 2023 presidential ambition.

He disclosed that Tinubu during his visit to UK met with the UK chapter of APC.

Recall that Tinubu, had in January visited President Muhammadu Buhari and announced his intention to contest the presidency in 2023.

The former Lagos Governor has since been travelling across the country for consultations on his ambition.
