President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is reportedly facing logistical challenge with the Presidential Jets that typically convey him to official trips. The presidential jet is said to have developed massive faults.

According to a report by Peoples Gazette, the president may be forced to return home on another chartered flight if the jets’ problems are not fixed in time.

The problem reportedly occurred after Tinubu’s diplomatic engagements with Prime Minister Mark Rutte in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

According to Peoples Gazette, this development reportedly forced the President to use a chartered plane to Saudi Arabia after his main presidential jet developed a fault and was taken in for maintenance.

It was reported that the second presidential jet he could have flown to Saudi for the World Economic Summit also developed a technical snag.

With the two aircraft reportedly faulty, the president’s aides, ministers, and other government officials were equally forced to fly to the summit on commercial airlines, leaving the faulty jets behind.

With the impending arrival of Tinubu to Nigeria, the source said the presidential jets are still reportedly under repair, as the engineers are running against time to fix the jets.

It would be recalled that Tinubu had embarked on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

President Tinubu’s official visit to the Netherlands came at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

During his time in the Netherlands, President Tinubu engaged with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and held separate meetings with His Royal Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. Queen Máxima is the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

Furthermore, the President also participated in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum. After Tinubu visited the Netherlands, the president jetted to Saudi Arabia for a two-day World Economic Forum.
