President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the foremost businessman, Mr. Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, as he celebrates his 61st birthday.

Tinubu who described Elumelu as a remarkable businessman applauded him for not only acquiring success but also becoming a paragon of several success stories for young entrepreneurs.

The president added that the indelible footprints of Elumelu will forever remain in the history books of Nigeria.

This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s special adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale,

The statement reads, “I extend my warmest congratulations to Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, CFR, on his birthday, today, March 22, 2024.

“I celebrate this foremost businessman and philanthropist, who chairs Heirs Holdings, Transcorp, United Bank for Africa, and is the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.

“Tony Elumelu is a remarkable industry leader who is known for his uncommon spirit of excellence that guides his entire enterprise. His streak of genius in driving investments, creating opportunities for Africa’s ebullient youth, and providing them with the support they need to succeed is quite commendable.

“I also thank Tony, who was named on Time’s list of 100 most influential people in the world in 2020, for his steadfast trust and faith in the certainty of a greater Nigeria and for always projecting the best of our great nation.

“I wish him many more years in good health and strength as he persists in his endeavor of contributing substantially to national and continental development.”
