President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday to embark on two foreign trips to Paris, France and to Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, respectively.

For France, the Presidency said Tinubu is embarking on a private visit. However, while in Paris, Tinubu is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. It was gathered that the meeting will focus on bilateral issues between the two countries.

Following the conclusion of the trip, Tinubu is expected to depart for Addis Ababa, where he will be at the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the AU Heads of State.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The statement reads in part: “In Addis Ababa, President Tinubu will join African leaders at the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the AU Heads of State, scheduled from February 12 to 16, 2025.

“The president will arrive in Addis Ababa early next week for the African Union summit.”
