A little over a week after the Senate transmitted it’s 45-person list of screened and confirmed ministerial picks back to the presidency, President Bola Tinubu has assigned portfolios to the ministers-designate.

While ex-Jigawa State Governor Mohamed Badaru snagged the Defense portfolio, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, hitherto a Northern preserve, went to former governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike

The Ministry of Finance portfolio went to Wale Edun and that of Health and Social Welfare was assigned to Dr. Ali Pate.

Ex-Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike was named Minister of the FCT while Wale Edun was named finance minister.
