The avoidable drama between Minister Wike and officers of the Nigerian Navy acting under the orders of former Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, exposes 5 things about Wike.

‎ His lack of tact , his Hubris, his volatile temperament , his poor conflict resolution ability and his propensity to always act under the influence of alcohol.

‎Wike would have avoided the embarrassment he received today by those brilliant, disciplined and clean Naval officers, if he had applied a little wisdom.

‎All Wike needed to do was pick up his phone , call the former chief of Naval staff and possibly invite him over in any of the clubs where big men meet themselves at night, and they will trash out whatever issue it was.

‎But like a cheap Christmas knockout, Wike basking under the euphoria of two shots of Whiskey, chose to badge in and confront trigger ready officers. And they embarrassed the hell out of him.

‎It’s good to be confident, but over-confidence is dangerous. In the military , they understand rules of engagement and Wike has not followed the rules of engagement.

‎In his last media parley , he even boasted that the former chief of Naval staff cannot stop him , and now the man has stopped him and did it openly. if power jam power , one must bow.

‎While Wike was lamenting the embarrassment he faced , he even accused the man of land grabbing on live television. You can imagine a notorious land grabber like Wike accusing another of land grabbing. funny man

‎Wike even said on camera today , that the man at his level should have called him or come over to his office to discuss things with him. That’s that same problem we are taking about . Wike is Always overrating himself and overstating his importance and relevance.

‎The man must have listened to Wike at least twice on his media parley, dismissing him as a nobody. And so he chose to teach Wike a lesson he will not forget easily.

A govt official telling a Naval officer to ” shut up “, asking him “who are u” on National television shows the extent alcohol can make a man misbehave if he is not quickly restrained by people around him.

‎Wike made it a power contest , and now he has found out that power pass power. What the man told Wike is simple ” you are too small for me to bow to you , deal with my boys ”

We must learn a lesson

‎Peace and love
