The Isabo Court venue of the Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is tense as supporters of both Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress and the People Democratic Party candidate in the state governorship election, Ladi Adebutu, storm the venue of the proceedings.

The Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Dr. Iziaq Salako, the Senator representing Ogun West, Olamilekan Adeola and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, were among those who arrived the venue as early as 7.55am.

The Three-man Panel, headed by Justice Hamidu Kunaza is set to deliver judgement on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu against Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Most of those who came early were members of the APC who had come in solidarity with Governor Abiodun.
The governor’s deputy, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele is also in court to bolster the confidence of her boss.

Senator Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, arrived at the court at 7:55 am, while Mrs Salako entered the court a few minutes afterwards.

They were joined by other aides of Governor Abiodun, including commissioner designates and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

Meanwhile, there is heavy security presence at the venue of the tribunal as many journalists were barred from entering the court premises.
