The chairman of the Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajiboye Omodewu, has passed away at the age of 61 years.

Omodewu, a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, was said to have died after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

APC Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Olawale Sadare has confirmed the death of the party’s chairman.

Also, Oyo State Deputy Youth Leader of the party, Akin Akinwale, confirmed Omodewu’s demise via his X handle @mrlurvy.

He said: “We lost the Oyo APC State Chairman, Barr. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu. He died in the early hours of today. He was aged 61.

“A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. He was also Commissioner for Lands and Housing under the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi government.”
