The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has broken his silence on attempts to suspend him from office.

He blamed his recent travails on some chieftains of the party outside his state.

The APC Chairman declared only God can determine for how long he would lead the party.

He said efforts by those he dubbed as ‘blacklegs’, whom he accused of holding membership of other opposition parties will not succeed.

Recall that, a federal High Court in Abuja, granted an order of interim injunction stopping Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from parading himself as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Danlami Senchi who granted the injunction on Wednesday said that political parties must be bound by their constitution and having been suspended by his ward, Comrade Oshiomhole is restrained from functioning as the National Chairman of the party pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.

In his ruling, Justice Senchi said he will hear all parties instead of granting the exparte application to have Oshiomhole vacate his office as National Chairman of the APC as requested by the Plaintiffs.
The matter was consequently adjourned to 18th February 2020 for hearing of the Claimants’ application.

Meanwhile, a  Federal High Court In Kano has set aside a ruling of the FCT High Court suspending the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Justice Lewis Allagoa on Thursday ordered the police and Department of State Service (DSS) to provide security for Oshiomhole to resume in his office.
