The private residence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was closed in by some suspected hoodlums who disguised themselves as protesters under the umbrella of the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest.

The New Diplomat gathered that the suspected hoodlums stormed the Minister’s residence located in Port Harcourt, attempting to break into the building.

The suspected hoodlums were heard singing the national anthem as they laid siege to Wike’s residence in the state capital.

However, in swift response, the Nigerian Police Force deployed additional personnel to the area to maintain order and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

The New Diplomat reports that this development is coming on Day 6 of the nationwide protests against hunger.

Protesters had vowed to continue with their demonstrations despite President Bola Tinubu’s appeal to suspend the protests.
