Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu has tested positive for Covid-19.

Kalu who plays for Bordeaux in France has been in quarantine since he contracted the virus weeks back but his indentity was not immediately made public by the club.Super Eagles

According to AFP, he was the unnamed player announced by the club to have contracted Covid-19 on July 6.

He has reportedly missed the team’s training sessions since the opening of camp and might be left out of some of the club’s pre-season games.

The news of Kalu contracting the virus comes after Super Eagles player and Genk striker, Paul Onuachu recovered from the disease recently.

Kalu who is currently receiving treatment is expected to return back to training with his team mates on July 27, if his test returns negative.
