The Super Eagles of Nigeria have staged a laudable return as they thrashed Central African Republic (2-0) on Sunday in a reverse World Cup qualifying match.

Recall CAR had shocked the Super Eagles on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, with a lone goal victory scored on an added time to silence the fans.

However, the Eagles staged a commendable return at Douala, Cameroon, for the reverse fixture and came out victorious with the team opening scoring at 29 minutes through Leon Balogun following an assist from Defender, Chidozie Awaziem.

Victor Osimhen completed the pass in one minute of added time in the first half, to give the Super Eagles 2-0 victory.

The Eagles now have a nine points to sit comfortably on top of Group C.
