Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of late Apple co-founder and Chief Executive, Steve Jobs has been pictured while holidaying in Croatia cruising with her boyfriend onboard a $100 million yatch her late husband built but never got to use before he passed on in 2011.
Laurene Powell Jobs, an American philanthropist was seen enjoying a day of sight-seeing on the yatch. The 53-year-old’s 256ft-long luxury yacht Venus was moored off the coast as they spent time in the historic city.
From The New Diplomat‘s findings, the late Apple founder, Steve Jobs had commissioned the ship in 2008, a few years after his first cancer diagnosis, but he was unable to step on board the yatch, since the tech genius died a year before it was completed in 2012.
He had enlisted the expertise of designer Phillippe Starck to create his one-of-a-kind sailing paradise and hired the chief designer of the Apple Stores to make structural glass for the yacht.

It has been reported that a row of 27-inch iMacs are used by the ship’s captain to navigate in the wheelhouse.
However, Jobs’ widow Laurene Powell Jobs is believed to maintain ownership of the ship and this current news report about her has left many to opine that wealthy people should always create time to enjoy themselves.
She was left widowed after the Apple founder Steve Jobs passed away, aged 56, following complications from pancreatic cancer in October 2011. They had three children together and Powell is also step-mother to Jobs’ daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs.
Checks reveal that Billionaire Laurene Powell Jobs, 57, is a formidable presence in investment circles, with a net worth of $21.7 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
Powell Jobs has used the fortune she inherited after the death of her husband, Steve Jobs, to expand her own businesses and philanthropies.
