Activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has been reportedly arrested again for holding a protest.

Sowore, a Co-convener of RevolutionNow, was arrested during what he called “a cross over protest” in Abuja, early Friday.Sowore Arrested Again For Holding ‘Cross Over Protest’

Multiple reports claimed Sowore was arrested alongside some members of his RevolutionNow group while protesting in the Gudu area of the Nigerian capital.

Several other protesters reportedly escaped the police arrest.

In 2019, Sowore was detained for over 100 days by the Department of State Service for organizing a protest to demand good governance in the country.

On Thursday, Sowore, a former presidential candidate had through his Twitter account called for another protest.

He tweeted: “How about a Cross Over Protest/Uprising tonight? Anyone willing to participate?”
