Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has announced the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 Nigerian presidential election.

Soludo, a prominent figure in APGA and a key political leader in the Southeast praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a “national treasure” whose policies align with Nigeria’s long-term development goals.

He further noted that APGA’s support is rooted in a shared commitment to national unity and economic progress.

Soludo also emphasized that APGA and the All Progressives Congress (APC) would work together, as both parties share a common belief in progressivism.

The announcement was made at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka during the President’s working visit to the state. Governor Soludo stated, “Progressives are working together.”

Recall that Tinubu is currently in Anambra State on a working visit.

The announcement comes ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra gubernatorial election, where Soludo is seeking re-election as APGA’s flagbearer.
