A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Evance Ochuko Ivwurie has described the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as a serial betrayer and treacherous person who cannot be trusted.

Evance whose remarks were contained in a post on his verified Facebook page, urged the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku not to consider Gov. Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 election.

According to Ivwurie, Okowa has successfully destroyed the PDP in Delta State, adding that he will likewise polarize and destroy the party at the national level if Atiku picks him as his running mate and he becomes the Vice President should the party wins the presidential election.

The former House of Assembly member who represented Ethiope East Constituency between 2011 and 2015, recalled that Gov. Okowa had betrayed former PDP State chairman, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, his political mentor and leader of the party, Chief James Ibori and only recently, the River State Governor, Nyesom Wike at the recent PDP national convention in Abuja.

Ivwurie said: “His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar cannot afford to carry (Echis Carinatus – Viper) the most lethal and deadliest of all politicians-snake in his pocket.

“This character is known to be notoriously monstrous, dangerous, contagious and irresponsibly cunning.

“Okowa will polarize and destroy PDP nationally as he has done in Delta State. Under his leadership, PDP in Delta State will never be the same united brotherly party again”,

Hon. Ivwurie further accused Gov. Okowa of being a “signature of an ethnic, clownish, satanic, deceiver and a betrayer”

Speaking with our correspondent on phone, Ivwurie confirmed his statement contained in the post on his verified Facebook page and added that all that he said and written were statements of fact.

All attempts by The New Diplomat to get the Commissioner of Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu to react to the remarks by Hon. Ivwurie, have been unsuccessful as he refused to pick up his calls.
