Nollywood has been hit with the shocking deaths of two stars, Doris Chima and Kunle Agboola in the last 24 hours.

According to reports, Doris who was battling breast cancer died yesterday, August 15 2021.

She was a foundation member of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and former vice chairperson of Lagos AGN.

Lagos Chairman of the AGN, Emeka Rising Ibe, who confirmed the death told newsmen he was still in shock over the sad incident.

In his words:“She called me last week and pleaded due to ill health not to remove her from the verification exercise I embarked on to ascertain true members of the guild in Lagos.

“Yesterday morning, I got a call that she was dead. Though I am yet to visit the family, it is a great loss for us. I pray for the repose of her soul.”

In the same vein, Kunle Agboola died in New York

Kunle Agboola, a Nollywood producer and record label executive, was also announced dead by the family.

According to Lanre Agboola, Kunle died at the intensive care unit of the New York University, Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, New York at 53.

Kunle long battled with kidney disease before his death.

He is survived by aged parents, wife, children and siblings.

The family is expected to announce his burial rites soon.
