Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Nigeria after participating in a series of engagements at the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

The vice president arrived Abuja on Friday and was received by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, among other government officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

It would be recalled that during the 2025 World Economic Forum, Shettima engaged with world leaders, business executives on various pressing global issues.

During his time at the global summit, the Vice President represented Nigeria, presenting the country’s investment opportunities to a global audience and advocating for African economic integration.

Shettima also participated in several bilateral meetings with world leaders, including President Duma Boko of Botswana and President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, discussing intra-African relations and fostering trade partnerships.

He also held discussions with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum, on key challenges facing Africa such as energy security, food crises, and environmental threats.
