Manchester United on Friday issued a list of players’ whose contracts are set to expire across all levels ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The club in a statement issued on the site (manutd.com) confirmed Edinson Cavani, Lee Grant, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba among those that are leaving.

“Five players will depart on 30 June, when their contracts are set to expire. As ever, those players will continue their lifelong associations with the Academy, the statement reads.

“D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine and Connor Stanley have received support in finding new clubs. Mellor made one appearance for the first team, playing in the Europa League tie with Astana in 2019, to ensure he featured in every age group for United.

“Goalkeeper Paul Woolston announced that he has been forced to retire through injury in March. He continues to stay in close contact with the club as he begins the next stage of his career.

“Paul McShane will continue his coaching role with the Professional Development Phase following his retirement from playing”.

The club has taken the option to extend Dylan Levitt’s contract. The Wales international enjoyed a successful campaign on loan at Dundee United last season. Fresh terms were initially offered to Martin Svidersky but it is now expected that the Slovakia Under-21 midfielder will depart.

All players named on the retained list published by the Premier League remain under contract.
