Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo, the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of being responsible for his removal from the senate.

Abbo said this on Monday while reacting to the judgment of the court of appeal delivered against him.

It would be recalled that on Monday, in a judgement by the three-member panel of judges presided by Justice C.E Nwosu-Heme, Abbo, the sex-toy senator was asked to vacate the seat and also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to issue a certificate of return to Amos Yohanna of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as the democratically elected lawmaker.

Monday’s pronouncement by the court comes after it overturned the tribunal judgment that had earlier recognized Abbo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the senatorial election.

Meanwhile, Abbo in his reaction after the judgment told journalists that his removal was the handiwork of his principal, Akpabio.

According to him, four other senators who worked against the emergence of Akpabio will go down.

He said Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC Abia North) is Akpabio’s next target for removal from the Senate.

“I have it from a reliable source that myself and four other senators within the fold of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will be removed from the Senate through rulings from the courts, all because of working against the emergence of Akpabio as President of the 10th Senate.

“I won’t mention the names of all the four other ones targeted but the next in line is Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,” he said.

He expressed perplexity at how the Appeal Court overturned his victory in the election to favour Yohanna of the PDP whom he surpassed by more than 11,000 votes.

“The court judgement is strange and the judiciary needs to please remain the last hope of the common man,” Abbo said.

He, however, pleaded with his followers to keep their cool, promising to run again in 2027.
