The Nigerian Embassy in Germany, on Tuesday, said it has sacked a local staff who functions as a member of its security team, Mr Martins Oni, for inappropriate behaviour.
The Embassy said it took the decision after an exhaustive investigation into allegations of sexual abuse and criminal activities levelled against the affected security staff, upon which the accused was found guilty of the charges.

It would be recalled that a few weeks back, a a podcast had gone viral showing Mr Martin Oni in a hotel room in a badly half-naked appearance, exchanging altercation with an unknown person who lampooned him for demanding sex from women who applied for passport renewals.
Recall also that the Nigerian Embassy had earlier suspended the affected security staff from duties following an investigation ordered by the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.
However, the Embassy, in a statement on Tuesday, said the probe committee having thoroughly carried out its investigation has found Martin Oni guilty of the charges levelled against him.
The statement added: “The Investigation Committee interviewed Mr Oni and other witnesses as part of a thorough examination of these very serious charges.
“It concluded that Mr Oni was culpable and in violation of all the relevant codes.
“As a result, Mr. Martins Adedeji Oni’s contract with the Embassy as a Local Staff has been terminated.”
The Embassy which further expressed its appreciation to members of the public for exposing Mr Oni’s inappropriate behaviour warned that it has a zero-tolerance for all abuses of office, especially sexual misconduct.
