...As DTSG promises partnership with genuine organizations

An international non-governmental organization, Social Exchange Market Certified Chairman Association, SEMCCA, saddled with the responsibility of eradicating poverty from among Nigerians has assured of its assistance towards creating industries and reviving old ones in order to generate employment opportunities for youths in the state and Nigeria at large.

The NGO which reiterated this on the occasion of the inauguration of the executives of the Delta State chapter in Ughelli recently, noted that the association was in the state to empower the people and to turn their the lives around.

 Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the  National Chairman of the association, Engr. Theophillus Enebechi said that, the inauguration of the Delta State Executives of Social Exchange Certified Chairmen Association was to enable the organization achieve its aims and objectives of eradicating poverty at the state and local government level.

He said: “Social Exchange Market an international monetary organization committed towards eradicating poverty from Nigeria through the Social Exchange Market disbursement funds that will assist in creating industries and reviving old ones thereby reducing unemployment among youths
in the state and in Nigeria at large.”

 Also speaking at the occasion, Gov. Okowa assured that the state government was poised to partner with any genuine and credible organization committed to improving on the welfare and standard of living of the people.

The governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Hon Chika Ossai, noted that the state government has been involved in various empowerment programmes, regretting that in some cases, many of the beneficiaries have failed to take advantage of the opportunity to better their lives.

“Many of the beneficiaries never utilized the opportunity to better their lives”, he said, urging the National and State executives to ensure that “a proper monitoring team is set up to monitor the disbursement of funds from SEMCCA in order to achieve result.”

While inaugurating the state chapter, the national chairman, Engr. Enebechi, enjoined the new executive to assist the national body of the association in the disbursement of the empowerment funds to ensure the alleviation of poverty among the people.

He said: “Your inauguration as SEMCCA state executives is to aid SEMCCA national

body in the disbursement of funds from SEMCCA to our people in alleviating
their pains and in ensuring that Deltans benefits from this international grant.”

In his own contribution, the national patron of the association, Rev Collins Ogochukwu enjoined the people to be patient, adding that the association was poised to achieving its vision soonest.

“Our people in SEMCCA should have patience but I have hope that the vision will speak this year and not next year”, he said.

In his acceptance speech, the state chairman of the newly a inaugurated chapter, Comrade Efe Agarry, promised to work in synergy with SEMCCA national executives to ensure a smooth disbursement of the international grants to Deltans in both State and Local government levels.
