Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that the terrorists responsible for violence in Katsina, Borno, and Niger State are the same individuals perpetrating attacks against Christians in Southern Kaduna, Benue, and Plateau States.

He said this through his verified social media handle on Saturday.

Shehu Sani emphasized that terrorism lacks religious affiliation, stating that the perpetrators are solely focused on their targets.

He stated, “The terrorists killing Muslims in Katsina, Zamfara, Borno, Yobe and Niger are the same terrorists killing Christians in Southern Kaduna, Benue and Plateau States; terrorism has no religious preferences.

“They don’t even spare their members who ‘derail.’ It’s either you are with them or you are a target.”

Shehu Sani’s remarks follow a tragic incident where terrorists killed residents in communities across three Local Government Areas in Plateau State on Christmas Eve.

It would be recalled that on Sunday, December 25, 2023 approximately 200 individuals were tragically confirmed dead as a result of attacks by gunmen on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State.

The assailants carried out these attacks on residents, including those in Mangu, around 10 pm on a Sunday.

The attacks drew widespread condemnation from President Bola Tinubu and security agencies, with assurances of pursuing the perpetrators and ensuring justice is served.
