Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Monday visted Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Obasanjo’s meeting was announced by a media aide of the First lady, Busa Kukoyi.

Kukoyi who took to her official X handle shared photos of her principal and former president Obasanjo.

She wrote: “Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu after receiving the Former President who came felicitating on the Sallah Celebration on Monday 17th June.”

The New Diplomat reports that Obasanjo and Tinubu belong to different political affiliations despite coming from the same Southwest geopolitical zone.

Also, during the 2023 presidential election, the former President supported the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour party, Peter Obi.

Below are some of the reactions curated from social media;

“The way our friends will descend on Obasanjo and his people in the coming days will be unprecedented, especially if he doesn’t retrace his steps from this latest dance of his.”(@nuels88)

“Make sure Atiku didn’t win.
Support Obi if he wins fine, if he does not, he’ll definitely make a way for Tinubu.
This still to me would never take away the fact that he’s a nationalist. He just doesn’t like Atiku
It’s fine”(@nuhu_yohanna11)

“Good to see that Baba Obj has moved on since after election

I don’t do conspiracy but I hope the powers that be, didn’t use Obi to block Atiku from reaching Aso Rock.“

Anyway good one 🤣”(@Ibirogba1000)

“Signature cap last week, Sallah homage this week.”(@theAloserofunmi)
