President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Lagos State for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, following a two-week break.

The President, who departed Lagos State on Tuesday, is set to resume his official duties at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, the seat of the Federal government of Nigeria.

Recall that Tinubu had arrived in Lagos State last week to celebrate the 2025 Eid al-Adha.

Tinubu’s time in Lagos was described as a period of rest and reflection, allowing the President to recharge while staying engaged with key national issues.

Sources close to the Presidency disclosed that he held strategic meetings with aides and stakeholders during the sallah break.

Among the strategic meetings was the one between Tinubu and, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).

It was gathered that the reported rift between Tinubu and his godson, Sanwo-Olu was resolved during the meeting.

According to reports, Tinubu, during the meeting, declared, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven,” signaling a resolution to the rift that had sparked widespread discussion within Nigeria’s political circles.

It was also gathered that the development came after a reconciliation was facilitated by the influential members of the GAC and other key political figures.
