As the date slated for the 2023 general elections draws near, Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai has cautioned politicians against using religion and ethnicity to further divide the country.

The Governor who made this observation during the commissioning of the Sultan foundation, frowned at the way and manner employ religion and ethnicity as tools for their political campaign.

Mallam El-Rufai warned that if this ugly trend is not check, it would further jeopardize our unity as a nation.

While advising politicians to focus mainly on issues that are bedeviling the country and disclosed to the electorates on practicable ways on how tackle the problems, the Governor called on traditional rulers in Nigeria to pray fervently for the success of the 2023 general elections.
