After a satisfying away win against the Chipolopolo of Zambia, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be looking to seal another against the desert warriors in the upcoming 2018 Russia World Cup qualifiers.  But the Algerians will be a different proposition to the Nigerians.

With a team brimming with world-class superstars like Leicester city’s duo of Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani, the Algerians will set their stalls in Nigeria for a win or at worst a draw.

The new Algerian coach, George Leekens, who said he has studied recent tapes on the Nigerian team, has assembled a strong 23-man squad to face the Nigerians on the 12th of November, 2016.

Gernot Rohr, the super eagles manager, will have to prosecute this match without his number 1 goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, who has been ruled out by injury. But in Ikenna Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi, the manager has two worthy replacements to man the post. Among the usual suspects of Iheanacho and Iwobi, the manager has extended invitations to inform Chelsea star Victor Moses, John Ogu and others.

This is going to be a crunch tie as the Super Eagles look to add to their 3 precious points earned in Zambia, whereas the Algerians work to add to their paltry single point won against Cameroun in the first tie.

In the other tie of the group, Cameroun and Zambia will slug it out to improve their point’s haul.
