Real Madrid has been crowned the official champions of the 2023/2024 of La Liga season after beating Cadiz 3-0.

Although they were already on the road to becoming the champions, the victory of Girona over last year’s champions Barcelona, 4-2 sealed Los Blancos’ triumph.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side did their homework against Cadiz and were confirmed champions after Barcelona dropped points. Real Madrid has now clinched a record-extending 36th Spanish title.

Brahim Diaz netted in the 51st minute to put Madrid ahead and then set up Jude Bellingham for the second, with Joselu tapping home a third to leave Madrid on the cusp of the title.

So far, Real Madrid has 87 points out of 34 matches played, leading the La Liga table, while Girona comes second with 74 points and Barcelona is sitting in third position with 73 points.

Reacting to the victory, Real Madrid striker, Joselu said: “We leave our skins out there on the pitch to live moments like today’s, we are so close to the league.”

“There are young players who are very hungry for titles, veterans who are delighted to be here… and these are special moments.”
