Reactions have continued to trail the release of social media personality, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, who was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday, August 5, 2024.

A video surfaced on X Monday morning showing Bobrisky greeting fans who had gathered to welcome him and witness him walking home a free person after spending time in jail.

It would be recalled that Bobrisky was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 3, 2024, after pleading guilty to charges of abusing the Nigerian Naira notes.

The EFCC’s investigation stemmed from a video which showed Bobrisky spraying new Naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie, ‘Ajakaju,’ on March 24, 2024, at FilmOne Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos.

However, people, including Brobisky himself have reacted variously to the release from Kirikiri correctional centre. In a video posted on the official handle of one @AkpraiseMedia Monday morning, the controversial crossdresser was seen in a car dancing with friends.

Reactions have since been flooding the post, with many expressing disbelief, while others demanded that another protest be staged purposely against Bobrisky.

“If this is real then the werey no go prison,” replied a netizen on X, @tunjibakare1607.

Another user named Egul Carlos stated: “Another level of protest na to ban this boy.”
