Mixed reactions have begun to surface following the grand reception held in honour of Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, a senior pastor at Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London, United Kingdom.

The reception, hosted by the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has sparked discussions across various platforms, with individuals expressing a wide range of opinions about the event.

The New Diplomat reports that Ashimolowo, upon his arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, was picked up by a luxurious private jet flight to Abuja.

After arriving in Abuja, he was received at a grand reception organized by high-profile dignitaries and church leaders. The reception featured a display of opulence with two gleaming Rolls-Royce vehicles, chauffeuring Ashimolowo to his next destination.

The New Diplomat also reports that Ashimolowo is in Nigeria for the Coza Global Leadership Summit, an event hosted by the COZA Church founded by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Below here are some of the reactions curated from social media:

“When it comes to protocol and honour, give it to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo………..Blessed to be a blessing”(@shininglight85)

“I see no reason why anyone should castigate the content of this video, all I see in this video is hospitality and excellence at its peak. @cozaglobal is a ministry known for excellence and hospitality, we the next-gen are prone to cast stones at father’s, what a pity….”(@kristonetwork)

“I don’t think Jesus Christ envisaged that Christianity would be portrayed with such flamboyance and opulence. How do videos like this propagate the word of Jesus Christ? (@keneike)
