Less than 48 hours after the campaign Director-General, DG of Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, Delta state Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Wilson Okpubigho tendered his resignation letter, renouncing his membership of the party, Deltans who are abreast of political developments in the state have hailed the decision.

Reactions showed that Deltans were delighted to know that Chief Okpubigho resigned his position as campaign DG to the state APGA Governorship candidate, Chief Ogboru as well renounced his membership from the party.

While a cross section of the respondents believed that Chief Ogboru is in politics for self aggrandizement, others described APGA as an unpopular political party in the state that would lead Chief Okpubigho to nowhere in his political adventure.

Here’s an excerpts;

*Mackson* **Orugbo* :
He must have seen a vain effort ahead of him. Thank God, he saw his end and quickly decided on what to do.

*Ovowa* *Rera;
Remaining Genesis Eririoma who would resigned from the party.

*Dafe* *Udu;
Thank God realizes early enough that APGA is not a veritable platform to ventilate his political ideologies. I hope he will see the light to join the winning APC party in the state if he truly wants to continue a career in politics. Besides, those who are familiar with the Chief ogboru’s political misadventure would attest that he’s into politics to fill his pockets with public funds.

*Mario* *Okpowoh*
He should join the winning team, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta state. It’s obvious he was told that APGA would lead him to nowhere. Hope he won’t repeat similar mistake by joining other party apart from the PDP.

*Doris* *Uguwe:
Thank God some politicians are beginning to come to terms with realities. We need to see more of these in order to sensitize the system that is gradually collapsing.

*Divine* Upliftment :
More are still coming to join the winning APC in Delta state.
