The General Overseer of the Christ Mercyland Ministries, Effurun/Warri, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Ogboto Fufeyi has advised matured males and females among his followership who are still singles and are willing to marry to seek the face of God for life-partners rather than indulge in fornication which is against the will of God.

Speaking with The New Diplomat online recently, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Bro. Godday Emiko, stated that the Prophet’s advice was one of the prophetic utterances which was part of the church service last week Sunday, stressing that the Man of God frowned at the sin of fornication among the youths which, according to him, is a sin against God.

He said: “What the Man of God was trying to do was to help a group of people in the church.  You know every Minister of God that is doing the work of God would not like to see people being in sin.  So, during the course of the service at the session of prophecy, he located this young lady who is matured to marriage but noted that she was going out with a lot of men and that was not the purpose of God for her.

“So, he used that opportunity to call out people who are ready to get married and he encouraged them to go to the Mountain and seek the face of God.  Thereafter, when they get their life partners, he (the Prophet) will sponsor their marriages.  He was just trying to help a lot of people to get married rather than remaining in sin and committing immoralities with boyfriends and girlfriends.”

It would be recalled that some national newspapers had published a report alleging that the General Overseer, Prophet Fufeyi was involved in match-making youths in his church and forcing them to marriage.

Mr. Godday Emiko, who is the official Public Relations of the Ministry however condemned that report wrong in its entirety, adding that the Prophet only encouraged those who are ready for marriage to seek the face of God for a life partner and that he was ready to sponsor such people.
